About us

NEXALTA is a team of computer experts, biologists, lawyers, medical researchers developing a secure decentralized communication platform, that enables sharing of health-related data while protecting the patients’ privacy.

We aim to solve the health data problem. We are developing a HealthTech communication infrastructure, protecting health-related personally identifiable information, and linking together patients of long-term diseases, researchers, medical doctors, labs, insurances, and pharma.

What problem are we trying to solve, and how does our product uniquely solve this problem?

Patients are reluctant to share their personal health data, because of justified fears for their sensitive data, which are repeatedly acquired by hackers and criminals. Researchers lack reliable Big Data, specially on chronic diseases. Doctors are helpless bystanders. Through a unique combination of software and hardware (a plug-and-play box that replaces router, firewall, and file server, and is equipped with encryption chips and AI accelerators), we solve all privacy problems and enable reliable Big Data that helps solve the health problems of millions of people.

Hospitals networked via IoT, digital patient data, health trackers on the body and in the home: sensitive health data has begun to flow, and the hack of the DNA database 23andMe, in which hackers captured family tree data from 6.9 million people, also shows that security in the healthcare sector is becoming increasingly in demand.

“The proliferation of telemedicine and remote patient monitoring programmes has led to security concerns in the face of cyberattacks and privacy issues,” says market researcher GARTNER. “For these reasons, security is an important consideration for healthcare organizations looking to purchase new software of any kind. Most respondents selected IT security as the most important tool for software investments in 2024.”

We are currently in the pre-seed phase. We have finalised the development of our SmartGateway hardware with the help of a grant from Bayern Innovativ GmbH. While we are ramping up production (prototypes are expected in April), we have already almost finalised the development of our next product for elderly care and for patients: a radar sensor health tracker that uses our platform for 100% privacy and is able to collect vital data contactlessly (for an automatic alarm in case of a fall or heart attack).
